The Ghostbusters franchise has been around since the late 80s. Remember the very first Ghostbusters? Personally, I never thought that any subsequent Ghostbusters movie would stand a chance. Luckily, I’ve been wrong and the franchise has been very successful. So where was Ghostbusters: Afterlife filmed? The fictional location and actual filming location are nowhere near each other. Let’s see how they built on the story first.
The Story of Ghostbusters: Afterlife
In this movie, single mom, Callie, runs out of money and is forced to relocate her family to a small town in Oklahoma. The house is a run-down, dilapidated house left to Callie by her late father. Not only does she inherit the house but also her dad’s debt. Callie then has to break the news to the kids that they have to stay there until she can figure out their next move.
It isn’t long before hidden secrets are exposed and the family comes face to face with some very eerie characters from another dimension.
I have to admit, it’s great to see some of the old characters resurrected! (Pardon the pun!)
The highly anticipated new Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie features an all-star cast of actors. Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace, and Finn Wolfhard star in the lead roles as a mother and two kids who are connected to the legacy of the original classic Ghostbusters movies.
