The Batman was filmed mainly in England. Interiors were shot on sound stages at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, north of London, and location work took place in Liverpool, Glasgow and Chicago.

In Liverpool, St George’s Hall played the outside of Gotham City Hall, and the Royal Liver Building is where Batman glides off a rooftop.

In Scotland, the Glasgow Necropolis appears in the film, and the old Hartwood Hospital in Shotts was used as a location too.

In Chicago, the crew shot some of the driving scenes, including Bruce Wayne riding his motorcycle through the city.
