The majority of The Dark Knight was filmed in Chicago, Illinois. Parts of the movie were also filmed in Hong Kong and London. In Chicago, filming locations included Lower Wacker Drive, LaSalle Street Station, Trump Tower, Soldier Field Stadium and the Willis Tower. 

A partial set of Gotham City was constructed on a pair of sound stages at the Hotlex Warner Brothers Studios located in Burbank, California. The set included a full-scale replica of both the Batmobile and Batpod.

The Hong Kong sequences were filmed in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island featuring Victoria Harbour and various rooftop environments.
